Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Aura Technologies LLC that governs your use of Real Extent.
The short version
- Real Extent is for real estate professionals using it for their business.
- You're in charge of your assistant. What it sends from your accounts counts as sent by you, so set your permissions with care.
- Plans renew every month until you cancel. Cancel anytime, and you keep your plan until the end of the month you paid for.
- Unused time isn't refunded, but billing mistakes always are. See the Refund Policy.
- Disputes are resolved one-on-one through arbitration in the United States (section 18), unless your local law says otherwise. You can opt out within 30 days.
This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Aura Technologies LLC ("Aura Technologies LLC", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your use of Real Extent, including our websites, apps, and the AI assistant (together, the "Service").
These policies are part of these Terms: the Refund Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy, the AI Disclaimer, and, where we process personal data for you, the Data Processing Addendum. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
You accept these Terms when you create an account, tick a box or click a button that refers to them, or use the Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
If you accept these Terms for a brokerage, team, or other organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and "you" means that organization and its users.
Section 18 contains an arbitration agreement and a class action waiver. They affect how disputes between you and us are resolved. You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days, as section 18 explains.
2. Who can use the Service
Real Extent is built and sold for business use by real estate professionals and the people who work with them, such as agents, brokers, team leads, transaction coordinators, and assistants.
To use the Service, you must:
- be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract;
- use the Service for your trade, business, or profession, and not for personal, family, or household purposes;
- not be located in a country subject to a comprehensive U.S. embargo, and not appear on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- not have been previously banned from the Service.
By creating an account or buying a plan, you confirm that you are acting for your business and not as a consumer. Laws that protect only consumers, such as statutory cooling-off and withdrawal rights in the European Union and the United Kingdom, therefore don't apply to your purchase, except where the law says they apply anyway. If they do, the consumer section of our Refund Policy applies.
You are responsible for holding any license your work requires, and for following your brokerage's policies, including any policies about AI tools.
3. Your account
Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your password and sign-in methods secure, and don't share them. Each person needs their own login. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away at contact@aura-technologies.co if you think someone has accessed it without permission.
Opening extra accounts to get around a suspension or other account restrictions is not allowed.
4. Workspaces and teams
Your account belongs to a workspace. The person who creates the workspace is its owner and acts for the customer that pays for it. Owners and admins can invite and remove members, manage billing, and change workspace settings. Team plans include up to 5 members.
Everyone in a workspace can see its shared information: contacts and leads, deals and listings, the activity log, and the details of emails synced into the workspace from connected mailboxes (sender, recipients, subject, a short preview, and the assistant's summary). Each person's connected accounts, sign-in details, and chats with the assistant stay private to them. If you connect your mailbox to a team workspace, you agree that the workspace's members can see those email details.
Workspace content belongs to the customer that owns the workspace. If you leave a team or are removed, you lose access to the workspace, your connected accounts are disconnected from it, and the workspace keeps the contacts, notes, deals, and other content added to it. Agree any other arrangement with your brokerage or team before you join.
If there is a dispute about who controls a workspace, we may rely on our records of who created it and who pays for it, and we may ask for proof before making changes.
5. The Service and changes to it
Real Extent is an AI assistant for real estate work. It connects to the email, calendar, file, and contacts accounts you choose, and helps you sort email, draft and send replies, follow up with leads, book showings, keep a built-in CRM, track deals and listings, and prepare briefings.
We are always improving the Service, so features change. We may add, change, or remove features. If we remove a core feature of a paid plan in a way that significantly reduces what you paid for, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can, and you may cancel. Features we label as preview, beta, or experimental may change or disappear without notice and are provided as they are.
We work to keep the Service available, but we don't promise any particular uptime. We may pause it for maintenance, security, or reasons beyond our control.
6. Connected accounts and other services
When you connect an account, such as Gmail, Outlook, another mailbox, a calendar, Google Drive, OneDrive, an address book, a messaging account (WhatsApp, Instagram, a Facebook Page, Quo, Telegram, or Google Voice), or a Slack channel, you authorize us to access it on your behalf, as your settings allow and as our Privacy Policy describes. Only connect accounts you own or are authorized to use. For example, if your brokerage provides your email address, follow its rules.
Google, Microsoft, Anthropic, OpenAI, Stripe, Slack, your email provider, and other services we work with are run by other companies under their own terms. We are not responsible for them. If one of them changes or limits its service, or limits our access, some features may stop working. We will try to let you know when that happens.
7. Your assistant and what it sends
Your assistant acts for you according to your permission settings. Each kind of action can be set to Auto (done without asking), Ask first (waits in Approvals for your OK), or Disabled. By default, saving draft replies in your mailbox, creating calendar events, and updating your CRM and tasks are set to Auto. When the assistant creates an event with guests, your calendar provider may email them an invitation. Sending email and contacting new leads are set to Ask first by default. You can change these settings at any time.
Messages, invitations, and other communications sent from your accounts through the Service are your communications, whether you approved each one or allowed it with Auto. You are responsible for your settings and for what the assistant sends for you.
Our safeguards, such as approvals, sending limits, opt-out detection, and treating instructions inside emails and documents as untrusted, reduce risk but can't remove it.
Text messages drafted by the Service are sent by you, from your own phone and number. You are responsible for having any consent the law requires before texting someone.
Some laws require telling people when they are communicating with AI or receiving AI-generated content, for example the EU AI Act and some U.S. state laws. You are responsible for following the ones that apply to you. Never use the Service to deny that AI was involved when someone sincerely asks.
8. Your responsibilities
When you use the Service, you are responsible for following the laws and rules that apply to you, including:
- Marketing and communication laws, such as CAN-SPAM, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, do-not-call rules, Canada's anti-spam law, and EU and UK e-privacy rules. Honor opt-out requests promptly.
- Fair housing laws. Never use the Service, including lead scores and suggestions, to treat anyone differently because of a protected characteristic, or to steer or advertise in a discriminatory way.
- Real estate licensing and advertising rules, such as including your brokerage name or license details in communications where required, and the rules of any MLS or association you belong to.
- Privacy laws for your clients' information. You decide what information about other people goes into the Service, and you must have the right to share it with us. You are responsible for giving the people you work with any privacy notice the law requires, including at open houses and on your booking and contact pages, and for answering their requests. Our Data Processing Addendum covers how we help.
- MLS and listing data. Only upload data you have the right to use, and follow your MLS's rules on how it may be used and shown. Price estimates from the Service are not appraisals. Don't present them as appraisals.
- Contracts and deadlines. Always check dates the Service finds in a contract against the signed contract. You are responsible for meeting every contract deadline.
- Wire fraud. Never use the Service to send wiring or payment instructions. Tell your clients to confirm any instructions by phone with a number they already know.
- Record keeping. Keep copies of transaction records for as long as your state, your brokerage, or your MLS requires. The Service is not a records-retention or backup system.
9. Your content
"Your Content" means everything you or your workspace members add to or connect to the Service, including email, calendar events, documents, contacts, notes, information about your clients and leads, and the drafts and summaries the Service creates for you. You keep all your rights in Your Content.
You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, transmit, and display Your Content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum, and to comply with the law. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from the Service.
We treat Your Content as confidential. We don't sell Your Content, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't use it to train AI models.
We may collect information about how the Service is used, such as which features are used and how often, but not the contents of your emails or documents. We use it to run and improve the Service, and we may use aggregated statistics that don't identify you or anyone else.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to add Your Content to the Service and that it doesn't break the law or anyone else's rights.
10. Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In short: no spam, no discrimination, no deception, no illegal content, no attempts to break or get around the Service's safeguards, and no reselling access without our permission.
11. Plans and billing
Starting a plan. A paid subscription is required to activate workspace features. Billing starts when you subscribe, at the price shown before you confirm payment.
Prices. Plan prices and what each plan includes are shown on our pricing page and at checkout, in U.S. dollars. Prices don't include taxes. Where we must collect sales tax, VAT, or a similar tax, we add it to your charges.
Automatic renewal. Paid plans are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically. When you subscribe, you authorize us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your payment method at the start of each monthly period for the plan's then-current price plus any taxes, until you cancel.
Cancelling. You can cancel anytime in Settings, Billing (Cancel plan), through Manage billing & invoices, or by emailing us from your account's email address. Cancelling stops future renewals. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and that period isn't refunded except as our Refund Policy says. Disconnecting your accounts or no longer using the Service doesn't cancel your subscription.
Changing plans. When you switch plans, the change starts right away. The price difference for the rest of the current month is added to, or credited on, your next bill.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe will try again. If it still can't be collected, we may pause AI features and automations or suspend the workspace until the balance is paid. You remain responsible for amounts owed.
Price changes. We may change prices. We'll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and it takes effect at your first renewal after that notice. You can cancel before then. The Founding plan's price doesn't increase while that subscription stays active. It ends if the subscription is cancelled or lapses.
Promotions. Discounts and promotion codes apply only as stated when offered, have no cash value, and can't be combined unless we say so.
Usage limits. Each plan includes monthly limits, such as assistant actions, AI use, automation runs, saved documents, and members. When the AI allowance runs out, the assistant switches to basic mode, which uses built-in rules instead of AI, until the next month or until you upgrade. Reaching a limit is how plans work, not a fault in the Service. If your use is abusive or far beyond normal use for your plan, we may contact you and limit it.
Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, except as described in our Refund Policy or required by law. The Refund Policy explains when we refund, such as for billing mistakes, and when we don't.
Payment disputes. If you think a charge is wrong, contact us first. We usually fix billing problems within two business days. If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer that was valid under these Terms and our Refund Policy, we will respond to the dispute with our records, we may pause your workspace while the dispute is open, and we may close your account if the dispute is decided in our favor. A valid charge reversed through a dispute is still owed. If you are a business, you will also reimburse the dispute fee our payment processor charged us for a dispute decided in our favor. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the law, including the right to dispute a billing error with your card issuer.
12. Suspension and termination
By you. You can cancel your plan at any time (see section 11). To close your account and have your data deleted, email contact@aura-technologies.co from your account's email address. If you have a subscription, we will cancel it too.
By us. We may suspend or end your access, in whole or in part, if:
- you break these Terms, including the Acceptable Use Policy;
- payment fails and isn't fixed after we let you know;
- your use creates a security risk, could harm others, or could harm the Service or our standing with providers such as Google and Microsoft;
- we see fraud, including payment fraud or abuse of refunds; or
- the law requires it.
Where reasonable, we will tell you before we act and explain why, unless the law or a security risk prevents it. You can reply to that notice if you think we made a mistake, and we will review it.
We may also stop providing the Service to you for any other reason with at least 30 days' notice. If we do, we will refund the unused part of any period you prepaid.
After your access ends, you can ask for a copy of your workspace content within 30 days by emailing contact@aura-technologies.co, unless we ended your access because of illegal activity. After that, we delete your content as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as payment obligations owed, ownership, disclaimers, limits on liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution, continue after these Terms end.
13. Our intellectual property
We own the Service, including its software, design, text, and brand. As long as you follow these Terms, we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your business while your account is active.
You may not copy, modify, or sell the Service; reverse engineer it, except where the law allows despite this restriction; access it with bots or scrapers, except through features we provide; get around its limits or security; resell or share access without our written permission; or use it to build a competing product.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.
As between you and us, you own the drafts, summaries, and other output the Service creates for you, to the extent we have any rights in them. Similar output may be created for other users, and we don't promise that output can be protected by copyright.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, Aura Technologies LLC disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We don't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; that AI output will be accurate, complete, or suitable; that emails will be delivered or answered; that leads will respond or convert; or that the Service will find every message, deadline, or date that matters to you.
The Service doesn't give legal, tax, financial, lending, appraisal, or inspection advice, and we are not a brokerage, law firm, or MLS. Our AI Disclaimer explains more. Some places don't allow some of these disclaimers, so they apply to you only as far as the law allows.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Aura Technologies LLC and its members, managers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, commissions, revenue, deals, clients, goodwill, or data, even if we were told they were possible.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim, and (b) US$100.
These limits apply whatever the legal theory, and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. They don't limit liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that can't be limited under the law that applies.
16. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Aura Technologies LLC and its members, managers, and employees against claims by others, and the resulting losses, damages, fines, and costs (including reasonable lawyers' fees), arising from: Your Content; communications sent from your accounts through the Service, including those sent with Auto; your breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy; your breach of any law, including anti-spam, telemarketing, fair housing, and privacy laws; or a dispute between you and your clients, leads, brokerage, or team.
We will tell you promptly about a claim, let you control the defense, and cooperate at your expense. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by us or binds us without our written consent.
17. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute about them or the Service are governed by the laws of the state in which Aura Technologies LLC is organized and applicable U.S. federal law, including the Federal Arbitration Act, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods doesn't apply.
Any dispute that isn't arbitrated under section 18 will be heard only in the state or federal courts located in the state in which Aura Technologies LLC is organized, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. To the fullest extent the law allows, you and we each waive the right to a jury trial.
If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another country whose law protects consumers regardless of the law chosen in a contract, you keep the protections of the mandatory laws of your country and may bring claims in its courts.
18. Resolving disputes and arbitration
Talk to us first. Before starting a formal dispute, email contact@aura-technologies.co with your name, your account's email address, a description of the problem, and what you are asking for. We will do the same if we have a dispute with you. Both sides will try in good faith to resolve it within 60 days.
Binding individual arbitration. If the dispute isn't resolved in 60 days, you and we agree that it will be decided by binding arbitration on an individual basis, not in court. This covers any dispute about the Service or these Terms, including whether a dispute must be arbitrated. The American Arbitration Association (AAA) will run the arbitration under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, or under its Consumer Arbitration Rules if those apply to you, with a single arbitrator. Hearings will take place by video or on written submissions where possible. If an in-person hearing is needed, it will be held in the county where you live or work if you are an individual, or otherwise in the state in which Aura Technologies LLC is organized. If you are an individual and your claim is for US$10,000 or less, we will pay your AAA filing fee unless the arbitrator finds your claim was frivolous.
Exceptions. Either side may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead. Either side may also ask a court for an injunction to stop unauthorized use or misuse of the Service or of intellectual property.
No class actions. You and we may bring claims against each other only individually, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not combine more than one person's claims. If this paragraph is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim must be decided in court, not in arbitration.
Many similar claims. If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed against us, or by us, by or with the help of the same law firm or organization, the AAA's Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules apply.
Opting out. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing contact@aura-technologies.co within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. Include your name and account email address and say that you are opting out of arbitration. Opting out doesn't affect the rest of these Terms.
Time limit. To the extent the law allows, any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred.
Changes. If we change this section, the change won't apply to a dispute either side already gave notice of. You can reject a change by emailing us within 30 days after it takes effect, in which case the previous version of this section continues to apply to you.
This section doesn't take away any right a consumer has under mandatory law to bring a claim in the courts of their own country.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the Service at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the change is required by law or only concerns new features, in which case it may take effect sooner. The date at the top shows the latest version.
If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply. If you don't agree, cancel before the change takes effect. If you cancel because of a material change that is unfavorable to you and tell us so when you cancel, we will refund any prepaid amount for the time after the change takes effect.
20. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the policies they include are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any earlier agreement on the same subject. If they conflict, the Data Processing Addendum controls for personal data we process for you, and otherwise these Terms control.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, or to an affiliate.
- Events beyond our control. We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages at Google, Microsoft, Anthropic, OpenAI, our hosting or database providers, internet failures, natural disasters, war, or government action.
- Waiver and severability. If we don't enforce a provision, we haven't waived it. If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be enforced as far as possible, and the rest of these Terms stays in effect.
- Relationship. You and we are independent contractors. These Terms don't create a partnership, agency, or employment relationship, and they don't give rights to anyone else.
- Notices. We send notices to the email address on your account or show them in the Service. You send notices to contact@aura-technologies.co. Notices by email take effect when sent.
- Electronic communications. You agree to receive agreements, notices, receipts, and other communications electronically, and that they satisfy any legal requirement to be in writing. Ticking a box or clicking a button to accept counts as your signature.
- Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version controls where the law allows.
- Export. You will follow U.S. export control and sanctions laws when using the Service.
