Refund Policy
How cancelling works for Real Extent plans, when we give refunds, and when we don't. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
The short version
- You pay when you subscribe. Plans renew monthly until you cancel.
- Cancel anytime in Settings, Billing. You keep your plan until the end of the month you paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- We don't refund unused time or partial months.
- We always fix billing mistakes, such as a double charge or a charge after you cancelled.
- Email contact@aura-technologies.co before disputing a charge with your bank. We reply within two business days.
This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.
1. Starting your subscription
A paid subscription is required to activate workspace features. Billing starts when you subscribe, at the price shown before you confirm payment.
Review the plan features and pricing before subscribing. Refunds are available only as described below.
2. How to cancel
You can cancel at any time, in any of these ways:
- in Settings, Billing, click Cancel plan;
- in Settings, Billing, open Manage billing & invoices and cancel there; or
- email contact@aura-technologies.co from your account's email address. We cancel within one business day and confirm by email.
Cancelling stops all future charges. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. After that, AI features and automations pause, and your data is kept as our Privacy Policy describes, so you can come back.
Disconnecting your email, deleting your data, or simply not using the Service doesn't cancel your subscription. If you ask us to close your account, we cancel your subscription as well.
3. Our refund rule
Except as this policy describes or the law requires, payments are final and non-refundable. We don't give refunds or credits for partial months, unused time, unused actions or AI allowance, downgrades in the middle of a period, or periods in which you didn't use the Service (except for an unused renewal, below).
4. When we refund
We give a refund in these cases:
- Billing mistakes. You were charged twice for the same period; you were charged for a renewal after you had cancelled before the renewal date; you were charged a different price than the one shown at checkout or in our price-change notice; or you were charged after we closed your account. We refund the incorrect amount in full. Tell us within 90 days of the charge.
- Unused renewal. Your plan renewed, you haven't signed in or used the Service since that charge, and you ask within 7 days of the charge. We refund that renewal and cancel your plan. This is available once per customer.
- We end the Service for you without cause, or stop offering it. We refund the unused part of the period you prepaid.
- Long outage on our side. The Service was unavailable to you for more than 72 hours in a row because of a problem on our side. We refund, or credit, the days it was unavailable. Outages at Google, Microsoft, your email provider, or your internet connection don't count.
- Material change you reject. As our Terms of Service describe, if you cancel because of a material change that is unfavorable to you, we refund any prepaid amount for the time after the change.
- When the law requires a refund, including the consumer rights described in sections 6 and 7.
We may also give a refund or credit in other cases at our discretion. Doing so once doesn't oblige us to do it again.
5. When we don't refund
Unless the law requires otherwise, we don't give refunds:
- when you forgot to cancel and used the Service after it renewed;
- for partial months, unused days, or unused actions or AI allowance;
- because you changed your mind, didn't use the features, or found the Service wasn't for you;
- because the assistant switched to basic mode after your plan's AI allowance ran out;
- for problems caused by services we don't control, such as Google, Microsoft, or your email provider, or by your own devices, settings, or disconnected accounts;
- when we suspended or closed your account for breaking our Terms or Acceptable Use Policy, or for fraud; or
- when a request shows a pattern of abuse, such as repeatedly subscribing and asking for refunds, using several accounts to get extra refunds, or using the Service heavily during a period and then asking for that period to be refunded.
Taxes are refunded only together with the charge they were part of, and only where the tax authority allows it.
6. European Union, EEA, and UK: right of withdrawal
Business customers. Real Extent is sold only for business use. At checkout, you confirm that you are buying for your real estate business. Businesses don't have a statutory right to withdraw from contracts made online, so this section normally doesn't apply.
If you are a consumer. If the law of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom nevertheless treats you as a consumer for this purchase, the following applies to you.
Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day the contract is concluded, which is the day you complete checkout for a paid plan. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Aura Technologies LLC, contact@aura-technologies.co) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by a clear statement, for example an email. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not required. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is enough to send your message about exercising the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay, and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In any event, you will not pay any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
Paying for the days you used. At checkout, you asked us to start your plan right away, during the withdrawal period. If you then withdraw, you must pay an amount in proportion to what was provided until you told us you were withdrawing, compared with the full coverage of the contract. In practice, we keep the share of the monthly price for the days up to your withdrawal and refund the rest.
Model withdrawal form. Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.
To: Aura Technologies LLC, contact@aura-technologies.co. I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the provision of the following service: Real Extent subscription (plan name). Ordered on (date). Name of consumer. Address of consumer. Email address of the Real Extent account. Signature of consumer (only if this form is sent on paper). Date.
7. Other rights under local law
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under laws that can't be excluded by contract, such as the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Where those laws let us limit what we must do when a service fails a guarantee, and the service isn't of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic, or household use, our obligation is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
8. How to ask for a refund
Email contact@aura-technologies.co from your account's email address. Include the date and amount of the charge, and tell us why you are asking. We reply within two business days. If we approve a refund, we issue it to your original payment method within five business days. Your bank may take another five to ten business days to show it.
If we turn a request down, we will tell you why. If you think we got it wrong, reply and someone will look at it again.
9. Payment disputes and chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer. Most problems are solved faster by email, and disputes can delay a refund we would have given anyway.
If you dispute a charge that was valid under this policy, we will respond to the dispute and may share these records with our payment processor and your bank: your acceptance of our Terms and this policy at checkout, your confirmation that you were buying for your business, your request to start right away, your sign-in and usage history, and our emails with you. While a dispute is open, we may pause your workspace. If the dispute is decided in our favor, the charge stands, the amount is still owed, and we may close the account. Business customers also reimburse the dispute fee our payment processor charges us, as our Terms of Service explain.
Nothing in this policy limits your right to dispute a billing error with your card issuer, for example under the U.S. Fair Credit Billing Act.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Changes apply only to charges made after they take effect, never retroactively. The date at the top shows the latest version.
